Welcome to RootPlans. By using our app or website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them — they're written to be clear, not confusing.
1. What RootPlans Does
RootPlans is a garden planning app that uses AI to generate personalized planting plans, companion planting advice, pest guidance, and seasonal care tips. Plans are based on your ZIP code, growing zone, preferences, and goals.
RootPlans is a planning and advisory tool. We do not guarantee plant survival, harvest yield, or any specific gardening outcome. Plants are living things — results depend on your local conditions, soil, weather, and care.
2. Subscriptions & Pricing
RootPlans offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan:
- Pro Monthly: $4.99 / month
- Pro Yearly: $39.00 / year (save ~35%)
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.
Prices may change with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.
3. Free Tier
The free tier gives you access to basic garden planning features including one starter plan per session. No credit card is required for the free tier.
4. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for all gardening decisions you make using RootPlans. Always verify plant compatibility, safety, and local regulations before planting. If you have pets or children, confirm plant safety with a professional source.
Do not rely solely on RootPlans for plants with medicinal or health uses — consult a qualified professional for any health-related decisions.
5. Intellectual Property
RootPlans owns the app, its design, AI models, branding, and all generated content templates. You own your personal garden plans and designs once generated.
You may not copy, resell, or redistribute RootPlans content or software without permission.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RootPlans is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including plant death, garden failure, or economic loss.
Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
